Coastline 03:52
A stone-cold margarita And I, a red-eyed Clyde Took off in the summer For where a red sun shines And on our way down Florida-bound, passing through towns If Charleston has no room let's try Savannah Keep the moon on our left side A hundred miles in a heartbeat Straight down 95 We were both so young We would drive all night And on our way down Florida-bound, passing through towns If Charleston has no room, let's try Savannah Keep the moon on our left side We're gonna make it But we all might crash and burn Imagine Stonewall Jackson Coughing blood right here Or stern parents in '31 Raking mud all year Ghosts Up and down this coast Put their hands on you But you're alive Ghosts Up and down this coast Put their hands on you But you're alive Ghosts Up and down this coast Put their hands on you But you're alive

Glass Towers 03:33
I took a stroll down Broadway In a part of town I used to know well Maybe I'm stuck in the old days But I miss a little show and tell They hear the moans in the alleyway Everybody's got their window down They're stuck at home on a Friday The uptight make uptight sounds Glass towers in the sunlight Like an orange on fire Or teeth in a skull When they glow in the moonlight But there's a place downtown I still go I've been looking all day For the places Where we spent those nights But maybe when the day breaks Everything changes Disappears in the daylight I heard a joke from an old man playing guitar In the shade of a tree, down in Washington Square A doppelganger and a ghost walked into a bar The bartender said nothing There was nobody there Glass towers in the moonlight Like an orange on fire Or teeth in a skull When they glow in the moonlight But there's a place downtown I still go I've been looking all day For the places Where we spent those nights But maybe when the day breaks Everything changes Disappears in the daylight I've been looking all day For the places Where we spent those nights But maybe when the day breaks Everything changes Disappears in the daylight

A bunch of dogs on the corner Every tail awag One struts off to the corner To smell a sealed black bag Meanwhile, back in the circle of dogs A couple terriers are sniffin And a westy and a poodle faced off in that uptight way that they do But meanwhile, where are you? It's been a long time since I've seen you: And I miss the way You look in the sun And I miss those days In the dog run No one smells like you I know you're the one But meanwhile, where are you? It's been a long time since I've seen you: And I miss the way You look in the sun And I miss those days In the dog run No one smells like you I know you're the one When last we saw our gray-haired hero He was sniffing the trash Would you believe that he found A piece of meat on the ground And made the bone last And the terriers They fell in love And against all odds, the westy and the poodle became best buds But meanwhile, where are you? It's been a long time since I've seen you: And I miss the way You look in the sun And I miss those days In the dog run No one smells like you I know you're the one
4.
Lost Time 03:15
Down the line Lost time Pools in the strangest way Lukewarm water in the tray And all this while The days go by Lost in the fury Awash in the fray Is it the right time to say You're looking absent in the eye You don't laugh the same these days But you say that you're alright Slow down I'm my brother's keeper, But who's my keeper while you're on the nod I cut you off and pour myself another: take that I don't get it either But every time I turn around Something else is missing Is it the right time to say You're looking absent in the eye You don't laugh the same these days But you say that you're alright And you wear me out Or do I do it to myself No you wear me out Now I think I can't trust nobody else You lost my time Everything looks so distant from so high You twist in the wind and the dust gets in your eye Since way back when, I've been at your side Now I don't know if you're gonna be alright Now Right now We are losing time

May Day 03:37
Like water: a lot of people go to people My neighbor rises with the sun To go and tend to those in pain Others operate the trains Cook food, deliver mail But some don't serve a single soul They only think of making sales You're a two-bit boy Foaming at the mouth for a kiss A full of shhhh, boy May you drown in piss For a rich boy You sure do stay hungry You're just a black hole Wrathful and alone People fighting Holding onto Something deep inside There's no way That we won't win Seeing truth through lies You're a two-bit boy Foaming at the mouth for a kiss A full of shhhh, boy May you drown in piss For a rich boy You sure do stay hungry You're just a black hole Wrathful and alone Dry mouth, watching the sun go down We're all taking on water New York under water too Gary under water too...
6.
Tide 03:07
Hear that mourning dove Keep calling on a wet winter day Most birds have chose to fly They need the snow These days it's mostly rain One day we'll turn around See the streets beneath the waterline But while the sirens sound We carry on, disregard And even as the tide comes in This is my kind of place When everything's lost in the wind Does a town leave a trace? The Broadway River cut the island clean in half; it changed it all Statues carved in stone but built on blood were always bound to fall Jet-black waves lap at the feet of Columbus in the corner of the park What evil comes from the sea is guaranteed to slip back down And even as the tide comes in This is my kind of place When everything's lost in the wind Does a town leave a trace? There's so much money to be made Turning out the earth That the men with the deed to the land Would flood it first And even as the tide comes in This is my kind of place When everything's lost in the wind Does a town leave a trace? And even as the tide comes in This is my kind of place When everything's lost in the wind Does a town leave a trace?
